Lee Wallace is a life-long resident of the Town of Niagara, who attended Niagara Wheatfield Schools, studied at Niagara County Community College and Niagara University earning an undergraduate degree in Physical Education/History and a Master’s degree in Education. He has held a variety of jobs and titles in the Niagara-Wheatfield community as a high-school teacher and coach, 19 years at NCCC as an assistant professor of health and physical education, and doubled as the school’s athletic director. For his achievements, he has been inducted into both the Niagara-Wheatfield Hall of Fame and NCCC’s Hall of Fame.

He spent 40 years as the Town’s Director of Recreation and since since 2015, he has been the Supervisor for the Town of Niagara. Committing and delivering all his energy into making sure the Town of Niagara continues to be a good place to live, work, and raise a family, his accomplishments have included the construction of ‘Remembrance Square’ and the Splash Park in Veterans Memorial Park and some successful programs and events such as ‘Noel at Niagara’, Town Veterans Appreciation Dinner, ‘Trash to Treasure’, an annual ‘Pride in the Park’ Independence Day celebration and ‘Music Mania Monday’ concerts. The concerts are held each Monday night in the summer at Veteran’s Memorial Park and have become a popular community event for residents and many WNY visitors.

Tribute bands from all over the US and Canada are hired as the headline acts with opening band performances featuring talented musicians from Niagara County. Lee Wallace, a singer and guitar player himself played with one of the bands in front of hundreds of fans!

For his appreciation and support of music and musicians in the greater Niagara community, it is with great pleasure that we honor Lee Wallace with the 2022 Niagara Falls Music Hall of Fame Sam Morreale Music Award.
