Russ Vesci

Guitarist and singer/songwriter Russ Vesci is lifelong resident of Niagara Falls New York, who started playing the accordion when he was three years old. At the age of ten, he switched to guitar under the instruction of Niagara Falls jazz guitarist, Hal Palumbo; a 2017 NFMusicHOF Inductee.  He joined his first band at 16 years old, and started playing school dances, assemblies, and youth clubs. He soon became a guitar instructor for Jackson Music and taught privately for more than 20 years.  . He has been a member of many locally-originated Hard Rock and Heavy Metal bands who performed all over Western New York, in Rochester, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Russ wrote or collaborated on many original songs for these bands which include Roxx, Raw Deel, Bad Animals, Wicked Gypsy, Nervous Rex, Bone Deep, and Takken. In 2013, he realized his true passion was playing Blues, and soon joined the Graveyard Blues Band performing in many clubs throughout WNY. In 2016 he stepped out on his own to write, play all the instruments (accordion, guitar, drums and keys) and produce his own Blues album. Some of the songs from his album have been played on internet radio stations in Canada, Switzerland and Greece.  In 2017 he formed his own band, Russ Vesci and Texas Revolver, performing his originals and covers of Stevie Ray Vaughn and other Blues greats, in clubs and at many events all over the Western New York area. Russ donates a lot of his time and music talent supporting a variety of charitable organizations. He started a free guitar lesson program for underprivileged children in the East Side Block neighborhood, of which he was president for two years.  Russ, who also enjoys spending time at home with his wife Pamela and their three dogs, is honored to be one of the Niagara Falls Music Hall of Fame Board of Directors.
